After some time to relax and refresh, your Bulgarian adventure begins with a guided walking tour through the heart of Sofia—one of Europe’s oldest continuously inhabited cities, with more than 7,000 years of history.

During the tour you will discover the city’s most iconic landmarks, including:

Ancient Serdica Roman Complex
The Largo
The Rotunda of St. George
Alexander Nevsky Cathedral
The Royal Palace
Ivan Vazov National Theatre and its beautiful city garden
Rakovska Street
Graf Ignatiev Street
Vitosha Boulevard

National Palace of Culture (NDK)

As you stroll through the city center, your guide will reveal fascinating stories about Sofia’s Roman, Ottoman and modern European heritage while introducing you to the local lifestyle and culture.

Following the city tour, return to the hotel for a short break before the evening’s cultural highlight.

Traditional Bulgarian Dinner & Folklore ExperienceTonight you will enjoy an unforgettable dinner at Vodenitsata Restaurant, one of Bulgaria’s most iconic traditional restaurants.

Besides authentic Bulgarian cuisine prepared with local ingredients, the evening features an impressive live folklore performance, including traditional music, colorful costumes and the spectacular Nestinar Fire Dancing—an ancient ritual where dancers perform barefoot on glowing embers. This extraordinary tradition, recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage, can be experienced in only a handful of places, making it one of the true highlights of your stay.

After dinner, return to your hotel for overnight accommodation.

After a rich buffet breakfast, depart for Lake Iskar, Bulgaria’s largest freshwater lake, located approximately one hour from Sofia and surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery.

Often referred to as Sofia’s “Blue Escape,” Lake Iskar is a favorite destination for sailing enthusiasts and nature lovers thanks to its peaceful waters, fresh mountain air and stunning panoramic views.

Upon arrival, professional skippers will introduce you to the basics of sailing before your adventure begins.

Following the cruise, return to Sofia and enjoy some free time at the hotel before the evening program.

Bulgarian Rakia Experience
Dinner will be served at a themed restaurant where, alongside excellent Bulgarian cuisine, guests will have the opportunity to discover one of Bulgaria’s national treasures—Rakia.

Taste a carefully selected variety of fruit brandies while learning about their production, regional traditions and unique flavors during an authentic Bulgarian Rakia tasting experience.

Return to the hotel for overnight accommodation.

Following breakfast, depart for Vitosha Mountain, the magnificent natural backdrop of Sofia and one of the oldest nature parks in the Balkans.

Only a short drive from the city, Vitosha offers a remarkable contrast between urban life and pristine mountain landscapes.

Enjoy a relaxing guided walk along scenic forest trails, breathing the fresh mountain air while admiring spectacular panoramic views over Sofia and the surrounding valleys.

Your guide will introduce you to the mountain’s unique flora, wildlife and history while leading you through some of its most beautiful viewpoints.

Traditional Mountain Lunch
