After breakfast enjoy a walking tour of Ljubljana. Take a short walk to Preseren Square followed by relaxed walking tour around the old quarter. First you will cross the Three Bridges and the farmer’s market and take cable car to visit Ljubljana Castle. After your descent discover it’s Renaissance and Baroque facades, decorated portals and vaulted atriums, squeezed between the castle hill and the Ljubljanica river.

Overnight in Ljubljana
After breakfast you will drive to Bled, the picture-postcard alpine town which was once the preferred choice for the Austro-Hungarian empire’s elite. You will first visit Bled castle, perched atop a cliff towering 130 metres above lake Bled which rewards visitors observing the countryside from its lower courtyard with stunning views of Bled, its lake and the island.
After visiting Bled castle you will visit Bled island by Pletna boat. Pletnas are made by locals and are known only in Bled, and their origin dates to the distant year 1590.
Continue with visit of Lake Bohinj, the heart of Triglav national park. Here high mountains, green forests, beautiful mountain pastures and meadows are combined with cultural and historical monuments.
You will take a short hike to Savica waterfall.
Afterwards continue to Mt Vogel, a high mountain setting in the heart of the protected territory of Triglav National Park. You will take a cable car to reach the top. From the foot of the mountain, which is not far from Lake Bohinj, you are lifted to the altitude of 1,535 meters above sea level, where you can enjoy an incredible panoramic view.
Return to Ljubljana with visit of little medieval old town of Radovljica on the way.
Overnight in Ljubljana
After breakfast and check-out you will head towards Zagreb with first stop being in the smallest Slovenian town, Kostanjevica na Krki. It is situated on the island of the river Krka.
After a visit and some free time for lunch, you will visit “repnice” wine cellars. Repnice are caves dug into quartz sand, which were used for storing turnips, the main forage for livestock, over the winter. After abandoning these storing methods, repnice became one of the monuments of past times, while many winemakers converted them into a space for storing and tasting their excellent wines. Wine tasting is included in the visit.
Continue to Zagreb, the capital of Croatia. For centuries it has been a focal point of culture and science. The city has a charming medieval old quarter with architecture and cobbled streets reminiscent of Vienna, Budapest, Prague and other Central-European capitals and mixed with a strong Italian influence.

Continue with walking tour of Zagreb. Enjoy the greenery of Zrinjevac park, the haste in Ban Jelacic Square, and talk history in the twin medieval settlements of the upper town. Walk the upper town’s cobblestone streets, spot medieval towers, the vivacious green market, as well as old houses and churches. Continue to the lower town, dominated by the impressive building of the Croatian National Theater.

After breakfast and check-out drive to Zadar for a visit. For centuries Zadar has been the capital city of Dalmatia, but today it is the centre of the region. A visitor can be easily impressed by the Roman forum from the 1st century, or St. Donatus’ Church from the 9th century. One of the more modern sights worth visiting is the sea organ located at the end of the peninsula. It’s a man-made instrument played by the sea 24 hours a day.
After some free time for lunch proceed to Opatija, a charming small town in Istria. Beautiful nature, green parks, old Austrian villas, seaside promenade and beaches have attracted tourists from Europe and world for more than 160 years.

After breakfast and check-out transfer to Istria, the largest peninsula in Croatia. Your first stop will be in Pula, the largest city in Istria and due to its historical charm the most interesting destination for tourists. The most important and attractive buildings are found in the city centre, and the largest is surely the Roman amphitheatre, the famous “Arena” where gladiators used to perform.
After visit of Pula continue to a small medieval town of Vodnjan for a short visit.

After breakfast and check out you will drive to Lim channel for a short visit and an oyster degustation. Lim channel is one of the most beautiful natural sights of the Istrian peninsula. It is a little bit longer than 10 kilometers, it is 30 meters deep and its widest part is around 600 meters wide. From both sides very steep mountains rise, in some parts even up to 100 meters.
On the way to Slovenia visit Motovun and stop at a local distillery for Istrian brandies tasting. Motovun is the most famous and attractive Istrian medieval town. Motovun is also surrounded by vineyards from which the finest Istrian wines, white wine Malvasia and red wine Teran, are produced.

After breakfast you will visit Secovlje saltpans, the northernmost salt flats in the Mediterranean. The salt is produced in the traditional way based on a 700-year-old method that harmonizes man and nature. Proceed to Koper for a visit, the largest town on Slovenia’s Adriatic coast. A modern and attractive destination for visitors, Koper still wears its history on its sleeve, most notably the five centuries of Venetian rule, which has left a distinctive mark on the town.

After breakfast and check-out head towards Ljubljana with first stop at Lipica stud farm on the way. The cradle of the Lipizzaner horse, it has nurtured the tradition of breeding and selecting thoroughbred horses for over four centuries.
Continue to Postojna cave, the largest known cave system in Slovenia where you will check out this amazing underground world. A visit to Postojna cave is a special experience, as an electric train takes visitors to their hour and a half circle visit of the cave.
