The city’s most iconic feature is its intact medieval city walls, stretching nearly 2 kilometers (1,940 meters) around the Old Town. Ranked among the most impressive and best-preserved fortification systems in Europe, the walls stand as the defining symbol of Dubrovnik and a must-see for every visitor.

After check-in, enjoy the evening at leisure and dinner on your own, while soaking in the magical atmosphere of this historic city known as the “Pearl of the Adriatic.”

Overnight in Dubrovnik

After breakfast, set out on a guided sightseeing tour of Dubrovnik, exploring the highlights of its legendary Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. With your expert local guide, stroll along polished marble streets and lively squares to see why Dubrovnik is celebrated worldwide as the “Pearl of the Adriatic.” Admire medieval palaces, baroque churches, elegant monasteries, and the vibrant spirit of this historic seafaring city.

Following the tour, enjoy free time for lunch at one of Dubrovnik’s many charming cafés or restaurants.

In the afternoon, continue exploring at your own pace, or choose an optional excursion to the Elaphiti Islands. This picturesque archipelago northwest of Dubrovnik is famed for its unspoiled beaches, pine forests, and traditional fishing villages, offering a peaceful escape and authentic Adriatic charm.

Return to your hotel in the evening and enjoy dinner at leisure.

Overnight in Dubrovnik

After breakfast, depart Dubrovnik and drive south along the stunning Adriatic coast into neighboring Montenegro, a country of dramatic mountain landscapes and medieval seaside towns.

Your first stop is Perast, a picturesque baroque village on the Bay of Kotor. Take a short boat ride to visit Our Lady of the Rocks (Gospa od Škrpjela), a man-made islet crowned by a church adorned with frescoes, votive paintings, and maritime treasures—one of Montenegro’s most beloved landmarks.

Continue to Kotor, a walled medieval town and UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore its labyrinth of narrow streets, hidden courtyards, centuries-old churches, and Venetian-inspired architecture. Enjoy free time for lunch in one of Kotor’s lively squares or along the waterfront.

In the afternoon, travel to Budva, Montenegro’s most popular seaside resort. Within its Old Town (Stari Grad), discover winding alleys, stone houses, and charming squares framed by the Adriatic Sea. Known for its sandy beaches, Mediterranean architecture, and vibrant nightlife, Budva blends history with modern seaside appeal.

Return to your hotel in Dubrovnik for an evening at leisure and dinner on your own.

After breakfast, depart Dubrovnik and travel north along the famous Adriatic coastal road (Jadranska magistrala), one of the most scenic drives in Europe. This breathtaking route hugs the eastern Adriatic shoreline, offering endless vistas of the turquoise sea, traditional fishing villages, and historic coastal towns.

On the way, marvel at the dramatic Velebit Mountain Range, which rises steeply from the coastline, creating a spectacular contrast of rugged peaks and sparkling waters. The journey itself is part of the adventure, showcasing the natural beauty and cultural heritage of Croatia’s Dalmatian coast.

Arrive in Split, Croatia’s second-largest city and the vibrant cultural capital of Dalmatia. After check-in at your hotel, enjoy the afternoon at leisure—stroll along the lively Riva promenade, relax by the waterfront, or begin exploring Split’s historic old town at your own pace.

Dinner on your own this evening.

Overnight in Split

After breakfast, set out on a guided sightseeing tour of Split, the largest and most important city in Dalmatia. At the heart of the city stands the magnificent Diocletian’s Palace, built in the 4th century by Roman Emperor Diocletian. Designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979, the palace is not just an archaeological marvel—it remains a living city where Roman walls, medieval churches, Renaissance palaces, and bustling cafés blend into everyday life.

After free time for lunch in Split’s lively old town, continue to Trogir, one of the most beautifully preserved medieval towns in Croatia. Located on a small island linked by bridges to the mainland and Ciovo Island, Trogir is famed for its Romanesque and Renaissance architecture, stone-paved streets, and fortified walls. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997, Trogir offers an unforgettable glimpse into Croatia’s golden age of art and culture.

Return to your hotel in Split for an evening at leisure and dinner on your own.

After breakfast, transfer to Split’s ferry port and board a public ferry to the island of Hvar, often called the sunniest island in the Adriatic. Famous for its crystal-clear waters, lavender fields, and lively cultural scene, Hvar is one of Croatia’s most beloved destinations.

Upon arrival, enjoy a guided walking tour of Hvar Town, a vibrant harbor city rich in cultural and historical heritage. Discover Venetian palaces, medieval fortifications, elegant squares, and the impressive Fortica Fortress, which offers panoramic views over the town and Pakleni Islands. Hvar has been a renowned resort for centuries, with its mild climate fostering the early development of health and wellness tourism.

After some free time for lunch, return by ferry to Split. The evening is free to relax or dine at one of Split’s excellent restaurants.

After breakfast and check-out, depart Split and travel inland to the breathtaking Plitvice Lakes National Park, one of Croatia’s most iconic natural wonders. Spread over nearly 20 hectares of forest, lakes, and cascading waterfalls, Plitvice is a lush valley where 16 terraced lakes are interconnected by a series of waterfalls and tranquil wooden footpaths. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979, it is the oldest national park in Southeast Europe and remains one of Croatia’s must-see attractions.

After free time for lunch, explore the park’s scenic trails and viewpoints before continuing your journey to Opatija, a charming seaside resort town in Istria. Known as the “Vienna on the Sea,” Opatija has attracted European travelers for more than 160 years with its blend of Austro-Hungarian villas, lush green parks, seaside promenades, and pebble beaches.
