Itineraries Of The Day

Evening Transfer to Lubango & Lodge Stay
In the late afternoon, you will board a domestic TAAG flight to Lubango, scheduled to depart at 6:00 PM.

Upon arrival, our team will assist with all necessary formalities and ensure a smooth transfer to your accommodation at Kimbo do Soba Lodge. After check-in, enjoy a relaxing evening in the tranquil surroundings of the lodge.

Dinner will be served at the lodge, followed by an overnight stay—rested and ready for the exciting day ahead.

After breakfast, your journey begins as you head toward Oncócua, with a scenic drive through Cahama, where you’ll have your first cultural encounter with the Ovandimba tribe.

The route offers an immersive look at Angola’s rural landscapes, with lunch enjoyed en route.

As evening approaches, you will arrive near the territory of the Ovakahona tribe, where you’ll set up camp for your first night under the stars.

Dinner will be served at the campsite, followed by a restful overnight stay surrounded by nature and cultural authenticity.

After breakfast and with renewed energy, the morning will be dedicated to a meaningful visit with the Ovahimba tribe, offering a rare opportunity to gain insight into their traditions, daily life, and ancestral customs.

Following this enriching encounter, we return to camp for lunch and a brief rest.

In the afternoon, the journey continues with a visit to the Vátua tribe, deepening our understanding of Angola’s diverse cultural tapestry.

As evening falls, we return to our camp near the Ovakahona tribe, where a hearty dinner awaits, followed by a peaceful overnight stay amidst the tranquil wilderness.

After breakfast, we will bid farewell to Curoca and set out towards Cahama, where a visit with the Mundimba tribe awaits. This engaging cultural exchange offers unique insight into their way of life and ancestral traditions.

Following a delightful lunch, we’ll continue our journey to the Municipality of Chibia in the Huíla Province, arriving in the Quihita commune—home to the Mungambwé people.

Upon arrival, we will set up camp near the tribe and participate in an authentic cultural immersion, highlighted by a special dinner prepared in accordance with traditional Mungambwé culinary practices.

The evening will be spent camping under the stars, in the warm company of the Mungambwé community.

Rise early—before the rooster crows—to witness the morning rituals of the Mungambwé people, offering an intimate glimpse into daily life. Following this enriching experience, enjoy a traditional breakfast prepared by the community.

After heartfelt farewells, we will begin our journey toward Virei in the Namibe Province, with a scenic drive passing through Lubango. Along the way, we will visit the archaeological site of Macahama, known for its cultural and historical significance.

A lunch stop will be made en route before continuing through the vast and changing landscapes to reach our camp in Virei, where the evening will be spent in peaceful reflection and rest under the desert skies.

The evening will be spent camping in the Bero River Valley, close to the Ovakuvales tribes, where we will enjoy dinner and settle in for the night.

 

After breakfast, depart Virei and make your way to Moçâmedes, where you will enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, offering a taste of regional Angolan cuisine.

Following lunch, continue the journey toward Lubango, with a memorable stop at the iconic Serra da Leba Viewpoint. Take time to admire and photograph one of Angola’s most dramatic landscapes—famous for its serpentine road and panoramic views.

The adventure continues with a visit to Cristo Rei, Lubango’s majestic hilltop statue overlooking the city, before returning to the city center.

Upon arrival in Lubango, check in at Kimbo do Soba Lodge for your overnight stay. Dinner will be served at the lodge, providing a relaxing and flavorful end to a day full of natural beauty and cultural exploration.

 

Enjoy a leisurely morning at your own pace—relax at the lodge or take a gentle walk through the surrounding area.

Following lunch, embark on an afternoon excursion to the Tundavala Gap, one of Angola’s most breathtaking natural wonders. Soak in the dramatic views from this elevated escarpment, offering sweeping panoramas of the vast Namib plains far below.

Later in the day, transfer to Lubango Airport for your return flight to Luanda.
Flight Details: Departure at 19:25, arriving in Luanda at 21:05.

Upon arrival in Luanda, a private transfer will take you to the Continental Hotel, where you will check in for the night. A delightful dinner will be served at the hotel, offering the perfect conclusion to an enriching day.

 

After an early breakfast, set out on a scenic journey to Kalandula, home to one of Angola’s most breathtaking natural wonders. En route, enjoy a lunch stop in N’dalatando, the capital of Kwanza Norte, where you’ll savor authentic local cuisine and experience the cultural heartbeat of the region.

Upon arrival at Kalandula Falls, take in the awe-inspiring spectacle of the cascading waters—one of the largest waterfalls in Africa by volume. The surrounding lush landscape makes it a perfect spot for nature photography and peaceful contemplation.

As evening sets in, enjoy a traditional Angolan dinner and settle into the Kalandula Inn, a serene lodge nestled near the falls. This peaceful retreat offers the perfect place to unwind and reflect after a day immersed in natural beauty.

After an early departure, embark on an unforgettable journey to the Pedras Negras of Pungo Andongo—a fascinating geological formation steeped in myth and history. Upon arrival, you’ll have the opportunity to hike to the summit, where panoramic views of the dramatic Angolan landscape await, offering a perfect vantage point for photographs and quiet reflection.

Along the way, we’ll visit the legendary footprints of Queen N’ginga, a revered historical site tied to Angola’s resistance against Portuguese colonization. This sacred place provides a powerful glimpse into the country’s rich cultural heritage.

We will then enjoy a relaxing lunch at Cacuso Agrotourism, where local flavors meet tranquil surroundings.

Following lunch, we’ll continue our return to Luanda, arriving in the evening. Dinner and overnight accommodation will be provided at the Continental Hotel, allowing you to rest and reflect on the day’s enriching experiences.

After breakfast, begin your day with a journey toward Luanda Sul, where culture and natural beauty intertwine. Our first stop is at Mercado de Benfica, the largest crafts market in Angola. Here, you’ll have time to explore a vibrant array of handmade goods, from traditional textiles to wood carvings—perfect for souvenirs and a taste of local artistry.

Next, we’ll visit the Slavery Museum, a deeply moving site that offers critical insight into Angola’s complex and painful past. The exhibits and narratives will provide valuable historical context and reflection.

We then head to the tranquil Kwanza River, one of Angola’s most iconic waterways, where you’ll embark on a scenic boat trip through peaceful surroundings teeming with natural beauty. A delicious riverside lunch will follow.

On the return journey to Luanda, we will stop at the Miradouro da Lua (Moon Viewpoint), a surreal geological formation resembling a lunar landscape—an ideal spot for breathtaking photos and contemplation.

The day concludes with dinner and overnight accommodation at the Continental Hotel, rounding off a day rich in culture, nature, and unforgettable impressions.

After breakfast, embark on a guided city tour of Luanda, uncovering the rich history and vibrant culture of Angola’s capital. Your journey begins with a visit to the iconic Iron Palace (Palácio de Ferro), a striking 19th-century architectural gem believed to be designed by Gustave Eiffel.

Continue to the National Museum of Archaeology, where a curated collection offers fascinating insight into Angola’s ancient civilizations and cultural heritage. Next, explore the historic Fortaleza de São Miguel, originally built in the 16th century, which now offers panoramic views of the city and houses military and historical exhibits.

Your tour concludes with a relaxing walk along the scenic Luanda Bay waterfront, where you’ll also visit the Currency Museum, showcasing the evolution of Angola’s monetary system and its economic history.

For lunch, head to the tranquil Ilha do Cabo (Luanda Island), where you’ll enjoy a delicious seaside meal in one of the island’s renowned restaurants.

Following lunch, return to the hotel for a brief rest before your private transfer to Luanda International Airport, marking the end of your unforgettable Angolan adventure.
