After breakfast, our driver guide will meet you at the hotel lobby and brief you about today’s Nairobi excursions.

Visit the Giraffe Centre, established in 1979 as a sanctuary for the then-endangered Rothschild’s giraffe, but has now grown into a world-famous education hub, successfully relocating more than 300 giraffes to parks across Kenya. Here, you’ll enjoy a memorable, up-close encounter hand-feeding these gentle giants while learning about their behaviour.

Lunch will be at Karen Blixen Coffee Garden and Cottages, a timeless haven where you can savour freshly prepared gourmet dishes and fine wines in an enchanting outdoor setting, surrounded by serene gardens and shaded courtyards.

Step back in time with a visit to the famous Karen Blixen Museum, the author’s historic farmhouse, for a true Out of Africa experience. Discover Blixen’s fascinating life, from her love story to the history of the coffee plantation. The museum rests in quiet stillness, embraced by indigenous forest and tranquil gardens. From here, take in splendid views of Karen’s beloved Ngong Hills — a setting that blends romance and history, perfectly reflecting the spirit of Kenya’s colonial past.

Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, drive to the famous Aberdare National Park. Aptly dubbed ‘Scotland with Lions’, this charismatic Afro-Alpine realm showcases the wild beauty of the Aberdare Mountain range where elephants roam through lichen-hung forests and spectacular waterfalls plunge into churning pools.

Arrive in time for lunch at The Aberdares Country Club before continuing to the exclusive sanctuary of The Ark—a secluded timbered lodge inspired by Noah’s Ark. This remarkable property is truly unique, not least for its splendid game-watching from elevated decks overlooking a private waterhole, where large herds of elephants gather to drink. The rooms have been fitted with a unique buzzer to alert guests when one of the “Big Five” appears nearby ensuring no sighting is missed. For photographers, there is a ground-level “pillbox” hide which allows close encounters with wildlife at eye-level, creating remarkable opportunities for capturing intimate moments. In the evening, enjoy hearty, traditional safari cuisine served in the main communal dining room.

After breakfast you will be transferred back to The Aberdare Country Club, where you will reconnect with your driver guide. Drive north to the rugged Shaba National Reserve, where Joy and George Adamson raised Elsa the lion cub. 

Arrive in time for lunch at the luxurious Sarova Shaba Lodge, with chalet style rooms overlooking the Uaso Nyiro River.  Natural spring water has been harnessed to ribbon its way around the property creating a beautiful landscape. Coupled with the large free-form swimming pool that flows around the lush gardens and tall trees, this refreshing water lends an almost magical feel to this natural oasis. Settle into your luxurious tent after lunch before heading out for your first game drive. Spend the afternoon discovering the unique species found in this area including the Reticulated Giraffe, rare Beisa Oryx, Gerenuk and Grevy’s Zebra, returning to the lodge for cocktails and a memorable starlit dinner under the beautiful northern sky.

Enjoy a full‑day game drive in the secluded and captivating Shaba National Reserve—which forms part of the greater ecosystem that includes Samburu and Buffalo Springs—discovering rugged hills, dry bushlands, and lava‑strewn plains. Follow the life‑giving Ewaso Nyiro River, which sustains a rich variety of wildlife, where elephants, lions, leopards, and more than 390 bird species can be encountered—making it a paradise for bird lovers. Shaba offers a quieter, more soulful alternative to crowded parks, where you’ll experience intimate game viewing and the timeless “Out of Africa” charm that makes it an unforgettable wilderness adventure.

After a full day adventure, you can head over to the mini spa where you can relax and unwind as you enjoy a great massage while listening to the trickling natural streams or get even more adventurous and try a massage in the wild.

Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

After breakfast, drive south to Lake Nakuru National Park, one of Kenya’s most iconic and accessible wildlife destinations. Famous for its vibrant pink flamingos that once lined the shores of the alkaline lake, the park continues to attract bird lovers and photographers from around the world, with over 450 recorded bird species.

Check in at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge which is nestled along the Lion Hill overlooking the spectacular lake Nakuru, offering one of the most scenic locations within the park. The lodge is set amidst beautifully landscaped gardens with winding walkways, exotic plants, and a rich array of birdlife — making it especially ideal for nature lovers and photography enthusiasts. 

After lunch, you are free to spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing or engaging in various activities offered by the hotel such as swimming, yoga, archery, bird feeding, board games, table tennis, nature walks and jogging on their expansive lawns.

Later, delight in a culinary experience that combines contemporary and traditional flavours from diverse cuisines, including Kenyan, European, Pan-Asian, Indian, and global fusion.

Wake up surrounded by Nakuru’s breathtaking landscape, framed by dense acacia forests. During this morning’s game drive, have your binoculars ready—this is prime rhino destination. Begin your adventure at the famous alkaline lake, graced with flocks of flamingos, then continue to Baboon Cliff for panoramic views of the lake and surrounding plains.

Despite its small size, Lake Nakuru National Park is rich in wildlife and Kenya’s first and largest rhino sanctuary, offering sightings of both black and white rhinos alongside waterbuck, warthogs, zebras, and the elusive leopard. By day’s end, the sight of rhinos at dusk and soft glow over the water, will leave you with unforgettable memories of this wildlife haven. Enjoy a delightful picnic lunch on the crater floor, surrounded by breathtaking scenery and roaming wildlife.

Return to your lodge in the late afternoon, where a relaxing evening and a delicious freshly prepared dinner await.

After breakfast and check out, enjoy a scenic drive to Sarova Mara Game camp, a perfect base from which to explore the wonders of the Maasai Mara. Tents are large and comfortable, tastefully furnished with double and twin beds, wardrobes, writing desk and safari chairs. En-suite bathrooms and fully stocked mini bars blend tasteful comfort with the beautiful nature that makes the Mara.  Settle into your luxurious tented suite and relax before proceeding to the restaurant for lunch.

After lunch get the cameras ready and enjoy a thrilling afternoon game-viewing drive in this photographer’s paradise. Watch for elephants, lions, giraffes, and herds of wildebeest, as the golden light paints the plains at sunset.

Return to camp in the evening to enjoy a gourmet dinner beneath a canopy of stars, surrounded by the sounds of the African night.

Spend the day exploring one of the most visited reserves, celebrated for its exceptional populations of lions, leopards, and cheetahs. Though it covers only 4% of the greater Mara–Serengeti ecosystem, its rolling golden grasslands, winding rivers, and dramatic escarpments form one of the world’s most rewarding and evocative wildlife arenas. It remains perhaps the only region in Kenya where animals and more than 550 bird species can still be seen in the same super-abundance that existed centuries ago.

In between game drives, you can relax at the camp or indulge in various spa treatment offered. In the afternoon, you may opt to visit a local Maasai Village, the ancestral home of the Maasai people, and gain insight into their rich culture, customs, and way of life in modern Africa.

Return to camp in the evening and enjoy your last starlit dinner around the fire, sharing the day’s stories with your guide as the nocturnal sounds of the African wilderness surround you.

After breakfast bid farewell to the Maasai Mara and set out for your journey back to Nairobi. Upon arrival in Nairobi, you’ll be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward international flight.
