Arrive at Entebbe International Airport. You will be assisted through the formalities by one of our airport representatives. Thereafter, they will hand you over to your driver for a transfer to your accommodation for the night.
After breakfast, transfer to Entebbe Airport for your midmorning flight to Kasese Airstrip. On arrival, meet your guide and drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. enjoying scenic views of the Rwenzori Mountains and crater lakes en route. Arrive at your lodge near the park, check in, and enjoy a light lunch. In the afternoon, embark on a private boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a natural waterway connecting Lake Edward and Lake George. Cruise in comfort as you observe hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, and abundant birdlife including African fish eagles, kingfishers, and pelicans along the shoreline. Enjoy close-up wildlife photography opportunities and a peaceful perspective of the park’s aquatic ecosystems. Return to the lodge in the early evening for dinner and overnight stay.
Transfer Kyambura Gorge (also known as the “Valley of Apes”) for a morning of chimpanzee trekking. Meet with park rangers for a briefing on tracking etiquette and safety before beginning the descent into the lush gorge. Venture through this dramatic tropical forest canyon, carved into the savannah, in search of a small, habituated group of chimpanzees. Along the way, enjoy sightings of black-and-white colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, baboons, and a variety of forest birds. Once the chimps are located, spend up to 1 hour observing their behavior, interactions, and vocalizations in their natural habitat. Trek duration can range from 1.5 to 4 hours, depending on chimpanzee movements and terrain conditions. Afternoon Predator tracking experience. This is an exclusive, guided adventure that takes you off the beaten path in search of the park’s most elusive carnivores which are Lions and Leopards. Accompanied by researchers and rangers from the Uganda Carnivore Program, you’ll participate in real-time monitoring efforts using radio telemetry to locate collared predators within the Kasenyi Plains. This behind-the-scenes conservation experience offers a rare opportunity to observe big cats in the wild, learn about their behavior and ecology, and understand the ongoing efforts to protect them.
Set off early for a morning game drive in the Kasenyi Plains or Mweya Peninsula of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Look out for Lions, Elephants, Uganda kobs, Buffaloes, Warthogs, and a variety of birdlife. Enjoy the golden morning light for photography and active wildlife sightings. Return to the lodge for a late breakfast or early lunch, then check out and drive south toward the Ishasha Sector of the park. Arrive at your Ishasha lodge, check in, and have a short rest.In the late afternoon, head out for a private sundowner experience in the park. Set up at a scenic viewpoint overlooking the savannah or riverbed. Transfer to the Bwindi park headquarters for a detailed briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers on gorilla tracking etiquette and safety. Begin your once-in-a-lifetime gorilla trekking adventure through the dense, misty rainforest of Bwindi. The trek can take anywhere from 2 to 6 hours, depending on the location of the gorilla family you are assigned. Navigate steep slopes and thick foliage with the help of experienced guides and optional porters. Once the gorilla group is located, spend one unforgettable hour observing these gentle giants. Watch as they feed, interact, and go about their daily routines—often just a few meters away. After the trek, return to the lodge for a relaxed afternoon where you can enjoy a massage or just chill while taking in the views of Bwindi Forest.
