Upon your arrival at the airport in the city of Quito, you will be greeted and transferred to the hotel.
Overnight in Quito.
In the morning, you will begin a tour of Quito’s historic center, recognized as a UNESCO world heritage site for being the largest and best-preserved in the Americas. You will explore the Basilica, main plaza, Government Palace, church of the Society of Jesus, as well as the church and convent of San Francisco. Then, you will visit the Panecillo viewpoint to enjoy a panoramic view of the city. Next, you will head to the Middle of the World to visit the Ecuador line monument, where there will be time for lunch. You will also visit the Intiñan museum.
In the afternoon, you will return to Quito and make a brief stop at the Artisan market for those who wish to shop.
Overnight in Quito.
Option 1: Otavalo tour and Cotacachi
Visit the famous handicraft and textile market at the “Plaza de Ponchos”. Later, we will tour Cotacachi, known for its leather goods shops, while enjoying the Andean landscapes with views of San Pablo lake and the Imbabura and Cayambe volcanoes. If the conditions are right, you will embark on a light hike to the Peguche waterfalls.
Option 2: National Park Cotopaxi
Visit Cotopaxi National Park, located southeast of Quito. The day will begin with a hike around Limpiopungo lagoon, where you can observe birds, wild horses, and the chuquiragua, known as the flower of the andes, in a stunning natural environment. Then, you will visit the historic the Cienega Hacienda and make a brief visit to a rose-exporting farm.

In the morning, you will be transferred to Quito airport for your departure flight.
