After being collected from your Nairobi hotel (or the airport), you will be driven to the famous Aberdare National Park. Aptly dubbed ‘Scotland with Lions’, this charismatic Afro-Alpine realm showcases the wild beauty of the Aberdare mountain range where elephants roam through lichen-hung forests and spectacular waterfalls plunge into churning pools. Arriving in time for lunch at The Aberdares Country Club you will later be transported into the exclusive sanctuary that surrounds The Ark.

After breakfast you will be transferred back to The Aberdare Country Club, where you will reconnect with your driver guide. Drive north to ‘Born Free’ country where Joy and George Adamson raised Elsa the lion cub in the wild and beautiful Shaba National Reserve.
Arrive in time for lunch at the luxurious Sarova Shaba Game Lodge.
Spend the afternoon discovering the unique wildlife of the reserve, including the reticulated giraffe, rare Beisa oryx, gerenuk and Grevy’s zebra.

On morning and afternoon game drives photographic opportunities abound as you seek out elephant, lion, leopard, cheetah, plains game and more. The river forest attracts a wide variety of birds.

After breakfast drive to Lake Nakuru, the most famous of the Great Rift Valley lakes. Arrive in time for lunch at the Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge which is set in beautiful grounds with panoramic views of the lake and park. The Lodge is a natural haven for bird life and attracts over 50 species of birds amongst the 400 species that inhabit the Park. Spend the rest of the afternoon on safari in Kenya’s first and largest rhino sanctuary. Echoing to the haunting cries of the numerous fish eagles, this is also the park in which you have the best chance of seeing a leopard.

After breakfast, drive to the world-famous Masai Mara National Reserve, backdrop to ‘the greatest wildlife spectacle on earth’, the annual migration of over one million wildebeest. Arrive in time for lunch at the Sarova Mara Game Camp. After lunch get the cameras ready and enjoy a thrilling afternoon game-viewing drive in this photographer’s paradise. The Mara is noted for its superb black-maned male lions. You may see lots of elephants, cheetah, rhino as well as hippo, buffalo, zebra, giraffe and many others and if you’re lucky leopards too. Morning and afternoon safaris in Africa’s richest wildlife viewing arena will take you in search of spectacular wildlife. Historically teeming with wildlife, the Mara hosts Kenya’s largest lion prides and elephant herds.
In between game drives, relax at the camp or indulge in a spa treatment. You may opt to visit the local Maasai Village or rise early for an exhilarating hot-air balloon ride gliding silently over the Maasai plains.
Spend the evening in camp where Masai dance performances are offered nightly.
