Itineraries Of The Day

After arrival to Ljubljana airport your private transfer will bring you to Bled, the picture-postcard alpine town which was once the preferred choice for the Austro-Hungarian empire’s elite. Your first activity will be a unique experience in a home of local people, with a degustation of local food. If you ever wanted to have a look at the kitchen of a Slovene housewife, who is always happy to share her knowledge about the local cuisine with the foreigners, this is something you should add to your tour.
Your next stop will be a Bled castle perched atop a cliff towering 130 metres above lake Bled which rewards visitors observing the countryside from its lower courtyard with stunning views of Bled, its lake and the island.
After visiting Bled castle you will visit Bled island by Pletna boat. Pletnas are made by locals and are known only in Bled, and their origin dates to the distant year 1590.
