Rising high above the Eastern Rhodope Mountains, Perperikon is believed to be one of the oldest sacred rock cities in Europe and is widely associated with the legendary Sanctuary of Orpheus. Archaeological discoveries suggest that the site predates many of the world’s famous ancient monuments, making it one of the oldest known centers of civilization in the region. Whether you come to admire its history, enjoy its breathtaking views, or simply experience its mystical atmosphere, Perperikon leaves a lasting impression on every visitor.

Return to Plovdiv in the afternoon and enjoy free time to explore at your own pace. Stroll along the lively Main Pedestrian Street, revisit the colorful Kapana District, discover hidden fountains, charming parks, local cafés, artisan boutiques, or simply relax with a coffee while enjoying the city’s unique atmosphere.
Your farewell dinner will be at the popular AylaKria Restaurant, whose name comes from the famous Plovdiv expression “Aylak”—the local philosophy of slowing down, relaxing, and enjoying life without rushing.
