The 4×4 tour departs at 09:30, beginning the ascent up the legendary Sani Pass, a thrilling mountain route that climbs to 2,874 metres above sea level. The drive takes approximately 2.5 hours, with scenic stops at breathtaking viewpoints and both South African and Lesotho border posts.

At the summit, visit a living Basotho village, where your experienced mountain guide shares captivating stories about Lesotho’s mountain culture and the resilience of its people. This authentic encounter offers a rare glimpse into daily life in the highlands.

After the village visit, enjoy lunch at Sani Mountain Lodge — home to Africa’s highest pub — where you can take in sweeping views from the roof of Southern Africa (lunch at your own cost).

Arrive back in Underberg around 16:30, where your Lesotho highlands adventure concludes.
